I was walking towards my car at the underground parking at Lowyat Plaza today. I heard "Boong". Then I saw a lady driving her Proton Wira out of her parking so fast like she was chased by a ghost or something. Being a natural born keh poh, I went to inspect and I saw this craftwork on someone else's car.
Alamak. Look at what the lady did to this car just now. She reversed into the car behind her. Poor car owner. In the mean time, I was too fleeing like I was the culprit behind the accident. Kanasai... why was I running away from? >.<
Now I remember doing such thing in my past. Haha. My victim was a Volvo 240GL made in year 1987. Both also old junks. So no problem lah, the old volvo is so damn hard leh. :D
Let's just cut all the craps I've uploaded here for a while, because it's Mother's Day today. Do you even notice that?
I used to call my mom at about 6:45pm every saturday. I have a reminder in my handphone just for that. Please don't ask me why do I need a reminder to phone my mom. :P I know I am special. haha
My MOTHER'S DAY conversation last night at 10pm+ while having my Japanese dinner at Ryu Jin Tei @ SS15 right opposite of SJMC, Subang Jaya Medical Centre.
Mom: "You called me at 9pm ah? I was at the temple praying la. What is it?" Me: "Oh, nothing la. Want to call you mah call you loh. Need reason one meh?(haha. excuses)" Mom: "Oh, I thought you have forgotten about me." Me: "(WTF!?!?!)... What lah auntie, tomolo is Mother's Day ma, mah call you loh." Mom: "(Chuckle)... Oh, that one ah, ok.(Wahlau... acting some more... i know she's happy one. pretend to be cool only.)" Me: "Oh mama, Happy Mother's Day to you." Mom: "Emm... Don't forget to call your grandmother to greet her too ok?" Me: "Okok. I will."
Huh? You mean how come I never say "I LOVE YOU" to my mom? Aiseh... said before liao lah. That was long ago. You know what she replied to me? "QI SIN!"... Hahaha... I was blur that time. Now I understood why she behaved like that. Okok, I'll say "WA AI LU" to her lah.
That must probably be the first time in her life that her son greeted her with "I LOVE YOU" in Mother's Day. She probably got shocked and replied that due to panicking. Just like how you accidentally said "FUCK or SHIT" when you panicked. :D
Well, that's my side of story. How well did it go today for you?
Hehe... another classic game of all time. I don't play this so often, but having this game kept somewhere and able to play it once in a blue moon is nice. I still love Frogger alot.
I am sure many of you fear this when you are using your Annual Leaves, Emergency Leaves or even Medical Leaves for job interview. Very unlikely a job interview will fall on Saturdays. :)
"Wah piang! This time die oledi!!! What should I do?"
Your boss just discovered that you're interviewing for a new job. (Jeng jeng jeng)
Now what? It depends. First of all, it's time for damage control and you'll need to act quickly. Perhaps you weren't actively seeking employment, but were solicited to interview. If so, tell your boss that you love your job, you want to stay, and you were simply interested in hearing what the company had to say. Make it very clear that you don't have plans to leave in the near future, if, in fact, that's the case.
When You Were Considering a Job Change
T: "Wah piang! How come suddenly so many managers resigning one? Company not doing well meh? That cannot be lah. I saw the company's stock is raising BANG! BANG! sound, until very high wor, almost reaching $24 dollars oledi." B: "When do you get this stock market information?" T: "3 years ago loh" B: "... -_-" Ah Toot(Mr Smart)! Their stock just got back to $18 dollars from $17+ dollars not long ago lah."
Were you considering a job change? My employer has this thing called Career Goal Setting and Review. It's a process explaining to your supervisor that your standard operating procedure for career management and to do continual assessment of your short and long-term career goals.
If you present your participation in an interview as a chance to learn more about your marketability and competitiveness in the job marketplace rather than a rejection of your current job, your boss may (hopefully) take it less personally.
When You Hate Your Job
1. Why are there so many defects in this project?... "Because we are very rushed to complete this project on time." 2. Why is the project being done in such a rushed manner?... "Because we do not have enough man power." 3. Why don't have enough man power?... "Because a lot of people left for Vallent and MIMOS." 4. Why a lot of people left for Vallent and MIMOS?... "Because Vallent and MIMOS is offering higer pay I think." 5. Why don't you tell me earlier? You think I like to ask you so many WHYs ar?!?!?!?!... "...!@#$%^&*" (Now you know why some of us hate our job so damn much!) Source: Root Cause Analysis
Do you hate your job and can't wait to find a new one? Then maybe getting caught isn't such a bad thing. This might be a good opportunity to review the issues you have and perhaps even resolve them. At the very least, it will clear the air and get the problems on the table. Worst case scenario, you can make plans for an amicable departure and perhaps gain your employer's support and assistance in your job search.
Tell the Truth
"Aiya Boss, you know lah. I work around the clock and I am getting peanuts only. How to survive like that? I am sure you're having the same problem also. If not you won't catch me coming out from the interview room that you are about to go in loh."
Whatever the circumstances - tell the truth. Especially in a case like this where there just isn't much you can say. Lies always seem to find a way to come back to haunt you! Be prepared for an uncomfortable time period while you and the boss get back into a normal routine. Don't be surprised if your boss is upset for quite a while and consider that he may wonder if and when you are going to resign and whether he should consider replacing you. Just remember - these are routine consequences in pursuit of the job you want to do for the rest of your working career.
Once you complete your training jumps and get the other qualifications to get an "A" licence then you can start to think about skydiving as a fun sport.
Initially you are still under the supervision of your instructors but now you have some freedom to go up for a "fun" jump and just freefall without having to worry about whether you meet the standard to pass the jump stage.
This is the best skydiving blooper ever. Present to you by Dulanmin.
Large consumer-products companies wouldn’t think about introducing a new product to a market without first doing extensive research about customer’s preferences and demographic profile. Sounds unfamiliar? If you're in a technical professional, yes. :)
Likewise, as a professional, you need to gather as much information as possible about the companies that intrigue you before you develop your resume, cover letter, port folio, application packet and especially before you interview. Since you are going to be using a fair amount of time and energy into applying for jobs and positions; you might as well do it right so that your first job application and interview are hit.
Some tips for job seekers
Avoid deciding on a single company early in your job search and wedding yourself to working at that specific company.
If you are a recent graduate, you should look at what interests you have and what you can see yourself doing for 40 to 50 hours a week.
What type of company do you want to work for? Work very little and get paid a lot? You wish.
A small private start up where you get to know every single person at the company and an occasional family member?
Or are you interested in working for a big multi-national company that has multiple divisions, hundreds of emplyees, and having an unlimited potential of how high you go.? That’s a question you’ll have to ask yourself.
Rich Dad Says: “Be smarter than they are, do your research.”
Review the Company Rankings
Find out the company’s reputation and ratings.
Do a little online and offline research.
Read the Business section in TheStar or News Straits Times.
Find out as much as you can about the company including their strengths and weaknesses.
Is it a secure place to work?
Will it be around for the next 5 years?
Will it pay your salary ON TIME?
Will it really pay you EPF?
If the company has been around for the last 20 years with steady returns, it’s probably a safer bet.
Interview Them
The best way to get a feel for the company you want to work for is to find someone in the inside.
Find someone that currently works there and do an informational interview. Probably your friend's friend. It's a small world.( Then you interview him/her.)
Research the Job Advertisements Online or via Newspapers
Often times, positions new professionals apply for are above their qualifications.
Make sure you meet the minimum qualification when applying.
Ideally, you would meet the desired qualifications when applying, but many times that doesn’t happen.
Don’t be affraid to throw your name into the pool if it’s a step up from what you do now. Companies are always looking for new talent. But before you do, make sure you do your research!

Interested in a new career? :P Of coz NOT! My employer is doing so damn well. WHY CHANGE? Well, just in case. LOL
If so, it is important to take the time to evaluate your present situation, to explore career options and to choose a career that will be satifying for you.
10 Steps to a Successful Career Change
1. Evaluate your current job satisfaction. Keep a journal of your daily reactions to your job situation and look for recurring themes. Which aspects of your current job do you like/dislike? Are your dissatisfactions related to the content of your work your company culture or the people with whom you work?
2. Assess your interests, values and skills through self help resources. Review past successful roles, volunteer work, projects and jobs to identify preferred activities and skills.
Determine whether your core values and skills are addressed through your current career.
3. Brainstorm ideas for career alternatives by discussing your core values/skills with friends, family, networking contacts and counselors. Visit career libraries and use online resources like JenJOBS.com , JobStreet.com and JobsDB.com
4. Conduct a preliminary comparative evaluation of several fields to identify a few targets for in depth research.
5. Read as much as you can about those fields and reach out to personal contacts in those arenas for informational interviews.
6. Shadow professionals in fields of primary interest to observe work first hand. Spend anywhere from a few hours to a few days job shadowing people who have jobs that interest you. Your college Career Office is a good place to find alumni volunteers who are willing to host job shadowers.
7. Identify volunteer and freelance activities related to your target field to test your interest e.g. if you are thinking of publishing as a career, try editing the PTA newsletter. If you're interested in working with animals, volunteer at your local shelter.
8. Investigate educational opportunities that would bridge your background to your new field. Consider taking an evening course at a local college. Spend some time at one day or weekend seminars. Contact professional groups in your target field for suggestions.
9. Look for ways to develop new skills in your current job which would pave the way for a change e.g. offer to write a grant proposal if grant writing is valued in your new field. If your company offers in-house training, sign up for as many classes as you can.
10. Consider alternative roles within your current industry which would utilize the industry knowledge you already have e.g. If you are a store manger for a large retail chain and have grown tired of the evening and weekend hours consider a move to corporate recruiting within the retail industry. Or if you are a programmer who doesn't want to program, consider technical sales or project management.
*** THIS IS A JOKE *** To joke about Malaysia in Malaysia maybe risky. Anyway it's just a joke. :D
Malaysia finally sends a Malaysian into space courtesy of the Russians. After months of training, the Malaysian astronaut and a chimpanzee are blasted off into space.
Once in orbit, the Malaysian waits for instructions. The screen flickers and the instrucions are flashed on it:
"Chimpanzee, execute space manuever No. 23B"
The chimp takes over flight control and carries out the manuever. The Malaysian astronaut is impressed but patient... he knows his instructions will come and they'll probably be more complex than what the chimp just did.
The screen flickers again and more instructions appear:
"Chimpanzee, carry out scientific experiment No. 234"
The chimp goes to the lab and mixes chemicals and carries out all sorts of complex scientific experiments. While he's doing this, the Malaysian astronaut is impatient. He speaks to Ground Control tru the comm link: "Eh Control, how come I got nothing to do man... train for so long but the monyet does all the important work but I'm smarter than the monyet"
Finally Ground Control responds: "Be patient, your instructions are coming soon"
Finally, the monkey rejoins the Malaysian astronaut and they wait for the instructions from the screen.
THe screen flickers and the message appears....
"Prepare for new instructions...."
A small door under the screen opens. Inside, there is a compartment with a wrapped item inside.....
"Malaysian astronaut, remove the item and unwrap then wait for further instructions"
The Malaysian astronaut unwraps the item and finds a banana inside. "Must be biogenetic banana" he thinks...
THE Malaysian Yoga Society held its first Open Yoga Asana (Posture) Competition recently with more than 200 people taking part in various categories.
The competition was a chance to witness a discipline performed at its highest level.
Each competitor had to demonstrate five Asana (Yoga posture) of their choice from a minimum of three traditional Asana groups. The five Asana must be completed within four minutes with each full Asana to be held steadily for at least five seconds before proceeding to the next Asana.
Among those who participated in the competition were S. Lalitha and P. Devasri, both 12, from SJK (T) Effin-gam in Daman-sara Utama.
Proceeds from the competition and the jumble sale held outside the competition hall will be channelled to the Malaysian Yoga Society Fund for the building of a Yoga home in the Klang Valley.
According to Malaysian Yoga Society (MYS) treasurer Tay Siew Leng, the society hopes to raise RM500,000 this year from various other fund-raising projects to build the home.
“The home will be able to house about 15 underprivileged children and we will provide them with education as well as Yoga classes,'' said Tay.
